    South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's museum collections reflect different aspects of our culture, identity and history. Over 150,000 objects link the social, industrial and domestic activities of people who lived in, worked in, or were connected with South Lanarkshire.

    Low Parks Museum (Hamilton, South Lanarkshire), has in addition to its permanent displays, two temporary display areas. Please check to see what is currently on display.

  • Hamilton Mausoleum

    Hamilton Mausoleum was one of the finest private tombs in the country and is now one of the town’s most famous buildings. The chapel has a massive dome, over 36 metres high.

  • Hamilton Palace

    Hamilton Palace was the largest non-royal residence in Britain, possibly even in Europe. It was the main residence of the Dukes of Hamilton from at least 1591 until 1919.

    The South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture Museums Access team offers exciting learning opportunities for people of all ages and abilities throughout South Lanarkshire.
