  • Activage

    South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's Forever Active focuses on sport and physical activity provision for the 50+ members of our communities. Whether you are interested in the Club and our extensive fitness programme or if you would prefer the great outdoors, as part of the Active Communities programme we have walking, cycling and gardening projects open to the community. We really do have it all and if youre 60+ and an Active Age member it's all free!

  • Come along to your local activeIT centre where you can access the internet and email or use a range of standard packages. And it's free!
  • Active Schools

    Active Schools in South Lanarkshire offer children and young people more opportunities to be active. We work with volunteers, coaches and local clubs to provide these opportunities.

  • Club SL

    Club SL, South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s Club Accreditation Scheme aimed at developing and supporting local sports clubs and their volunteers.

  • Coach development

    South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture understand that our coaches and volunteers are crucial to our sporting success and aim to support them through our comprehensive coach education programme.

  • Community Sport Hubs

    CSH provide a home for sport. They focus on the clubs and other local organisations that want to work together to improve the sport offered in their local community.

  • Most South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture libraries are open Monday - Saturday and East Kilbride is even open on Sunday.
  • Local clubs

    The Sport and Physical Activity team at South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture work in partnership with local sports clubs across Clydesdale, Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Hamilton, Blantyre and East Kilbride, to provide sustainable pathways for participation in a variety of sports. This allows individuals of all ages to take part in sport in their local community, at a level that suits them.

  • Play development

    Welcome to South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, Play development. Our aim is to provide fun play programmes, in line with the Play Principals which include social, physical, intellectual, emotional and creative development. We do this by providing games, sports, arts and crafts, music, drama and much more, all delivered by trained/qualified play workers.

  • Sports development

    South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's Sports development team run programmes to increase participation in a wide range of sports. The Sports development team work with local clubs to develop and encourage the sporting talent we have within South Lanarkshire.

  • Volunteering

    South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's Active Schools coordinators work with volunteers to provide more opportunities for children and young people across South Lanarkshire to be active. Volunteers include teachers, club coaches, parents, students and senior pupils. South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture support our volunteers through mentoring and incentives and provide access to various coaching courses and qualifications.
